CDA Reviews Sector Development Progress, Directs Early Possession of Plots

Capital Development Authority Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired a meeting to review development progress in Islamabad’s new sectors including C-14, C-15, E-12, and I-12. Officials informed that infrastructure in Sector C-14 is mostly complete with over 95% electricity work finished. The chairman directed early handover of developed plots, installation of signboards and digital boards, preparation of e-maps for plot locations, and speedy completion of development work across all sectors.

Islamabad: A meeting regarding progress on sector development was held on Thursday at the headquarters of Capital Development Authority (CDA), chaired by Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

The meeting was attended by CDA Member Administration and Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Member Engineering Syed Nifasat Raza, Member Environment Asfandiyar Baloch, and other senior officers. Discussions were held regarding development work in new sectors and the handover of possession to plot owners.

Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa reviewed the progress in sector development and directed that possession of developed plots should be handed over soon.

Relevant officers briefed the Chairman CDA on the progress of development works in Sector C-14 and informed that the basic infrastructure work in Sector C-14 has been completed. Similarly, more than 95 percent of the electricity supply work has also been completed.

During the briefing, it was stated that the installation of light poles on main roads has also been completed. Likewise, the installation of signboards on the roads and streets of Sector C-14 has been completed. The meeting was further informed that the Environment Wing is rapidly carrying out landscaping and horticulture work on the main roads.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that digital boards should be installed at the entry points of Sector C-14. He also instructed that the concerned officers should personally visit Sector C-14 and review the development activities so that the formal process of handing over possession in the new sectors can be started.

Relevant officers also briefed the Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa about the ongoing development activities in Sector C-15. It was informed that sub-base work on about 37 streets of Sector C-15 is in progress. The briefing further stated that the process of obtaining NOC for the railway bridge in Sector C-15 and hiring a consultant for its design will be completed soon.

The meeting also discussed the ongoing development activities in Sector E-12. It was informed that the sub-base work on roads in Sub-Sectors 1 and 2 of Sector E-12 is nearing completion. Similarly, work on the main roads around the commercial center in Sector E-12 is progressing rapidly. It was further stated that work on electricity supply in Sector E-12 is also progressing quickly.

The progress of development works in Sector I-12 was also reviewed in the meeting. It was informed that the development work in Sector I-12 is nearing completion, while work on the service road in the sector is being started.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed the early completion of work related to the installation of signboards on main roads and streets in all sectors. He said that e-maps should be prepared for the location of plots in all new sectors.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa also directed that the electricity issue in Park Enclave should be resolved soon, road carpeting work should be completed, and the removal of encroachments should be ensured.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that providing the best residential facilities to citizens in the federal capital Islamabad is among the top priorities of CDA. He further said that all obstacles in the development work of sectors will be removed to ensure the early handover of plot possession to citizens.
